Young Conservatives Prepare to Hear Trump, Pence Speak at CPAC

As a young Conservative, I believe I speak on behalf of all my fellow peers attending the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) when I say we are beyond excited to hear President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence speak.

As we often refer to them, Daddy Trump and Uncle Pence, will be addressing the massive conference at the Gaylord on National Harbor on Friday.

However, Pence and Trump are not the only ones coming that we are excited about! Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, Energy Secretary Rick Perry, Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke Fox News host Sean Hannity, and political commentator Ben Shapiro are all scheduled to speak as well.

Thousands of conservatives are expected to descend on the region for CPAC’s annual convention, which is widely regarded as the Super Bowl of conservative politics.

Trump was greeted with chants of his name and “USA” during a triumphant appearance last year by the president, who bashed the media repeatedly and promised to toss immigrants in the U.S. illegally out of the country.

That appearance was a bit of a turnaround for Trump, who hasn’t always been a CPAC favorite.

Trump’s uneasy relationship with the CPAC faithful was illustrated during the 2016 when he pulled out of a planned appearance at the conference amid backlash from some conservatives, even though he was leading the GOP primaries.

I must say that I was absolutely thrilled when we saw President Trump come speak last year. It was exhilarating! Just the energy of the crowd was enough to make me want to do it all over again! It is amazing to be surrounded by other Conservatives my age who simply love America and our president.
