What We’re Reading October 31, 2015

We drink gallons of coffee in an effort to stay awake long enough to scour the far reaches of the world wide web in an effort to bring you the most important, useful and useless information every single day.

Paul Ryan is the new Speaker of the House. We are hopeful that he proves to be better at the job than the last two Speakers.

Did you get to see the 5 best moments of the 3rd GOP presidential debate from Boulder, Colorado on CNBC Wednesday night? If not, now’s your chance! Most of the best moments came from the candidates who America thinks won the debate.

The CNBC debate was terrible, but sometimes bad debates with bad moderators can actually be pretty helpful.

Anyone who was surprised at how poorly the debate moderators performed on Wednesday night hasn’t been paying attention. Ben Domenech at the Federalist argues that the moderators proved that they were exactly who we thought they were.

Whoa. Now the professional stat-head geeks (er, I mean scientifically based pundits) believe that Jeb Bush’s campaign is officially dead! And it may well have been Marco Rubio that put the last nail in the Bush campaign coffin.

Speaking of Rubio – on CBS, Charlie Rose tried to grill Marco Rubio for calling Hillary Clinton a liar. Rubio’s response leaves Rose at a loss…

Ted Cruz looks like he has a real chance at winning the nomination, which means that the GOP establishment will likely line up behind Marco Rubio instead.

Bernie Sanders wants to force an end to the federal government’s ban on marijuana.

Russia is going to the moon.
