What We’re Reading October 1, 2015

We hope you’re having a great day wherever you are and that the news we dig up for you this morning helps you navigate the day more efficiently!

It’s a busy world out there, and you don’t have a ton of free time to be doing Internet searches for the most important items of the day… lucky for you, we do. We drink gallons of coffee in an effort to stay awake long enough to scour the far reaches of the world wide web in an effort to bring you the most important, useful and useless information every single day.

You’re welcome.

It would be funny if it wasn’t so tragic… More than 100,000 New Yorkers (a state that overwhelmingly supports Obama) just found out that their healthcare plans were getting canceled and now they’ll have to find new plans and new doctors.

But even worse is the abuse of taxpayers across the country: Congress loaned a whopping $2.5 billion of taxpayers’ money to Health Republic of New York and 22 other boondoggle insurance co-ops, even after being warned by its own budget experts that many co-ops would fail and not repay the loans. How carelessly politicians spend other people’s money.

If anything, the experts’ warnings were understated. Across the nation, 21 out of the 23 co-ops are either shut down already or losing money. And it’s your money going down the rathole.

Nearly 70 ISIS followers have been arrested in the last year in the United States of America,” Republican Representative Michael McCaul said.

Surprise, a Muslim world leader is reneging on their promise to abide by the Oslo Accords…

Carly Fiorina has emerged from the GOP pack to be the loudest voice in defense of the unborn and it’s not a little thing. While Carly is not the most conservative of the candidates, if she can stake a claim to being the most ardent defender of life, then she has the chance to open herself up to a whole new voting bloc.

If the GOP wants to beat Donald Trump – there’s an easy four step plan to getting it done.

The House GOP is once again considering suing the Obama administration – this time for withholding the side deals on Iran’s nuclear program.

Apparently a lot more people have died in high-speed car chases than the government is letting on.
