What We’re Reading May 18, 2015

It’s a busy world out there, and you don’t have a ton of free time to be doing Internet searches for the most important items of the day… lucky for you, we do. We drink gallons of coffee in an effort to stay awake long enough to scour the far reaches of the world wide web in an effort to bring you the most important, useful and useless information every single day.

The army is turning a war hero into a pariah with a dastardly campaign against Maj. Matthew Golsteyn, the man who killed an Afghan bombmaker. Apparently Golsteyn told the CIA that he “claimed to have captured and shot and buried a suspected IED bomb maker. He further went to comment that he went back out with two others to cremate the body and dispose of the remains,” according to a memo summarizing the Golsteyn case. “Capt. Golsteyn stated that he knew it was illegal but was not remorseful as he had solid intelligence and his actions protected the safety of his fellow teammates.”

The Bush family money machine has gone into full production in an effort to give Jeb Bush the best opportunity to win the GOP nomination.
