We’ll start today’s What we’re Reading with a bit of Scott Walker news from the early primary state of Iowa. Just a day after hiring top-notch political strategist Liz Mair to run their online operations, Mair was forced to resign after GOP leaders in Iowa attacked her for disparaging comments she made about the state’s caucus system. While relieving the pressure on Walker in Iowa, the situation has caused many conservative activists to grow wary of the Walker campaign, as Mair is considered an important player in conservative circles. Many conservative pundits are Not Happy with the way the Walker campaign handled Mair’s ouster.

The Obama administration likes to pretend that they are “the most transparent administration” ever. Sadly, nothing could be further from the truth. In the Obama administration has set the record for denying Freedom of Information Act requests to view certain government information. In 2014 they broke their own record and denied more requests than ever…. “transparent” must mean something different in the White House.

The Presbyterian Church USA has finally made it official — they will be changing their definition of marriage to include same-sex marriages. So continues the very fast-paced suicide of the PCUSA, which has lost half its membership since 1970, even as the conservative Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) has seen a membership increase of some 800% in the same time period.
