What We’re Reading June 5, 2015

It’s a busy world out there, and you don’t have a ton of free time to be doing Internet searches for the most important items of the day… lucky for you, we do. We drink gallons of coffee in an effort to stay awake long enough to scour the far reaches of the world wide web in an effort to bring you the most important, useful and useless information every single day.

Trending: Army found Guilty of Discrimination for Barring Transgender MAN from Female Restrooms

On Thursday the House voted to block President Obama’s efforts to use federal funding to defend executive amnesty. Congressman Steve King (R-IA) proposed the amendment to block funding – “This Congress has three times voted to reject the President’s initiative and the debate has been centered on Constitutional grounds… So my amendment prohibits any of the funds from being used to further defend this unconstitutional executive amnesty position.”

Being a “straight shooter” is one reason that Rand Paul’s fans love him but it’s also going to get him in trouble from time to time. This isn’t the only problem that the Paul campaign is having – Mollie Hemingway at the Federalist wonders why he’s seemingly having trouble winning over women.

Politically correct liberals are beginning to devour their own. At Northwestern University one liberal professor is learning what happens when you buck the orthodox liberal trends.

Why are liberals so angry that a Republican is proposing legislation that would make it easier to purchase birth control over-the-counter? It’s all about government power.

Is Lincoln Chafee (D-RI) Hillary Clinton’s biggest problem?

Carly Fiorina is really firing up everyone, everywhere she goes… so why isn’t anyone taking her seriously?
