What We’re Reading June 1, 2016

It’s a busy world out there, and you don’t have a ton of free time to be doing Internet searches for the most important items of the day… lucky for you, we do. We drink gallons of coffee in an effort to stay awake long enough to scour the far reaches of the world wide web in an effort to bring you the most important, useful and useless information every single day.

Popular social media sites are not changing their ways when it comes to speech suppression – in fact, they’re cracking down even harder on speech they don’t like. And that should concern us all.

What happened to #BlackLivesMatter? Over the Memorial Day weekend 66 people were shot in Chicago and 6 were killed. Even with all of this carnage… no marches were scheduled, no boycotts announced, and no outrage was heard from the #BlackLivesMatter movement. Weird. (He said sarcastically.)

Has anyone else noticed the correlation between supporting “Bernie” [score]Bernard Sanders[/score] for president and choosing not to think for yourself? The brilliant economist and thinker Thomas Sowell has. Over at the National Review he argues that socialism is strictly for the uninformed.

Uh-oh. Republican Party leaders are starting to get mighty nervous about which big names won’t be showing up to the RNC in June.
