What We’re Reading January 23, 2016

We hope you’re having a great day wherever you are and that the news we dig up for you this morning helps you navigate the day more efficiently!

It’s a busy world out there, and you don’t have a ton of free time to be doing Internet searches for the most important items of the day… lucky for you, we do. We drink gallons of coffee in an effort to stay awake long enough to scour the far reaches of the world wide web in an effort to bring you the most important, useful and useless information every single day.

You’re welcome.

So without further ado, here’s what we’re reading, Saturday, January 23, 2016.

Donald Trump has a LONG history of abusing eminent domain for his own purposes; in fact, he’s called theft of private property for his benefit a “wonderful” thing. Would C.S. Lewis have called Donald Trump “Nikabrik’s Candidate”?

Conservative pundit Dana Loesch is also bewildered by the idea that so many conservatives are actually considering voting for Donald Trump. “It is not conservative to bastardize the fifth amendment and say that ’eminent domain, we can actually collude with private businesses, and not for public use, to go after private property owners and take their property without even fair compensation or just compensation as it is written constitutionally.”
