What We’re Reading February 3, 2016

We hope you’re having a great day wherever you are and that the news we dig up for you this morning helps you navigate the day more efficiently!

It’s a busy world out there, and you don’t have a ton of free time to be doing Internet searches for the most important items of the day… lucky for you, we do. We drink gallons of coffee in an effort to stay awake long enough to scour the far reaches of the world wide web in an effort to bring you the most important, useful and useless information every single day.

You’re welcome.

So without further ado, here’s what we’re reading, Wednesday, February 3, 2016.

Trending: Meteorologist who Co-founded the Weather Channel Says “There is No Climate Crisis”

Yay! According to Pennsylvania’s most famous resident, Punxsutawney Phil (the Groundhog), winter should end early this year!

There are now more than 300 Sanctuary cities spread out across the United States, leading some lawmakers, like Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R-TX), to call for pulling federal and state funding form these localities.

In the race to represent the GOP in the 2016 presidential election, it’s now a 3-man race. So, how did [score]Ted Cruz[/score] (R-TX) finally get the best of Donald Trump in Iowa?

After Jeb Bush’s terrible showing in Iowa, his donors will soon be leaving in droves to support… [score]Marco Rubio[/score] (R-FL). As Bloomberg News points out, the GOP donors at Goldman Sachs had already begun the exodus over the last three months of 2015. What is surprising is that Donald Trump spent the last few weeks attacking Cruz by linking him to Goldman Sachs, when it was Bush and Rubio who were most beholden to the firm.

Wow. Hillary Clinton must have some amazing luck, because she did something on Monday night that has mathematicians across the planet in awe. She won 6 different coin tosses across the state of Iowa, coin tosses that awarded her 6 delegates in the Iowa caucus, helping to ensure her “victory” over “Bernie” [score]Bernard Sanders[/score] (I-VT). (If you’re wondering what the chances of winning 6 fair coin tosses in a row is… that’s a 1 in 64 probability. In other words… either incredibly lucky or the game was rigged.) After reading about the coin toss story, this next story might not be so surprising. The Clinton campaign is being accused of fraud after being caught by CSPAN seemingly cheating Sanders out of a handful of extra votes in Des Moines.

Speaker of the House, [score]Paul Ryan[/score] (R-WI), is telling any and every conservative who’ll listen that he is a conservative. Sadly, his record tells a different story. A liberty score of 100% shows a “pure” conservative record over the last legislative year – Paul Ryan’s score? 56%. That is NOT conservative.

One liberal speaks out against the government forcing Christians to contradict their religious beliefs in order to serve our PC culture.

Um. Weird. Or Gross. Or Both?
