President Trump was elected as President nearly two years ago and still, the resistance clamors on. Ok, shock was registered but that suddenness has the duration of a school pep rally. What is taking place today is nothing more than exhorting one’s impatience for a regime change. It was so close with a Clinton Presidency but now, all that would have been is now dashed upon the rocks of rugged Americanism.
To make matters worse, the socialist democrat is left undressed since economic prosperity is antithetical to socialism. He is facing a midterm election without a positive message, with a roster of activists who uniformly are anti Americans and in all probability, another Constitutionalist being appointed to the Supreme Court.
Wall Street Journal (WSJ) writer Daniel Henninger described in his September 20th What Democrats Have Become piece of the democrat’s desperation and of their option to counteract Kavanaugh’s nomination with, “…is being decided in the Senate by the medieval practice of trial by ordeal…” Mr. Henninger is referring to this Monday’s special hearing in which Ford and the Judge would testify prior to the Senator’s vote.
Of course, Monday’s session appears doomed since Ms. Ford has stipulated that she would only testify after a FBI investigation takes place. Now, this from an anonymous letter writer who originally demanded that she remain so. What a change of heart. In reality, here is a documented “never trumper” who was pictured in a protest parade holding her sign, “Not My President.”
The spectacle of this entire last minute character assassination is very telling of the overall agenda that is being threatened. Even Ms. Ford understands the importance of resist and especially of delay. Her request for a FBI investigation should effectively delay the Kavanaugh appointment so that the fall session begins with only eight on the bench. In the grand scheme, another Constitutional voice on the highest court could severely cripple the one branch of government to which the democrats have come to rely upon for enforcement of their most effective Trump policy obstructions.
There is little doubt as to what Clinton’s defeat meant to the progressive segment of what was once a proud and patriotic Democrat party. Since that election shock, not only was the White House lost, so was their platform’s creditability that America’s best days were history and that government would provide. In other words, what has taken place during this young Trump Presidency is the unmasking of the socialist blueprint.
Again, Mr. Henninger best sums it up with, “As a matter of law and fact, Ms. Ford’s accusation can be neither proved or disproved.” Also he notes that, “Surely someone pointed out that based on what was disclosed, this accusation could not be substantiated. To which the Democrats responded: So What? It’s political value is that it cannot be disproved.”
In other words, just make public a charge so that it will be out there, considered and probably acted upon. Whether it was Clarence Thomas, Robert Bork, Herman Cain, Judge Roy Moore or now, Brett Kavanaugh, who can imagine that his tactic will end? It must be defeated if only for the future integrity of our system. Now given the transparency of this latest unsubstantiated letter, and bolstered by the hundreds of female classmates and professional associates who all praise and admire the Judge, shouldn’t this be the place to make our stand?
Also too, from the Schummer perspective, the need to avert a complete disaster, agenda wise, drives their options to political quarters never imagined. This obstruction now seems critical to the midterm revolution and to Trump’s possible impeachment. If not, the agenda would be set back immeasurably with another steward of the Constitution on the bench.
The direction of America has been disheartening yet during the last eighteen months, life has been renewed. While some grow weary of our President’s gruffness at times, his record of success quiets any misgivings while he has also reversed much of Obama’s wrongheaded views and beliefs.
Compare the effects from eight Obama years to less than two of this sometimes crusty and husky speaking President; but who loves his country and his God. The wailers wail simply because Trump’s policies are working. Also, socialism can never succeed in a prosperous country so view these shenanigans for what they are; a desperate moan from an activist, not geared to 35 years ago but with today and to what our prosperity will continue to unmask and in turn, uphold.
