Watch: Lauer Creepily Whispers to Co-host, ‘Keep Bending Over, Nice View’

Left-wing NBC anchor Matt Lauer of the Today Show has been given the boot after he was accused of sexual misconduct by several different women.

TMZ reported that Lauer has allegedly gifted his female coworkers with sex toys. Also, according to the report on Variety, Lauer had a secret button under his desk in his office that allowed him to lock the door without having to get up and lock it manually.  Can you say creepy?

Now look at the footage below that shows Lauer creepily whispering to his co-host, Meredith Viera, as she bent over. Without realizing the cameras were rolling, he said, “Keep bending over like that. It’s a nice view.”

TMZ reports:

Trending: A Message for Obama – “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil.”

This all went down in October 2006, and it’s a little bizarre how it got out to the public. The show had gone to commercial, but in at least one city, the local affiliate stayed on NBC’s in-studio feed. Matt was seen sitting on the couch as Meredith got mic’d up.

As she leaned over in front of him to grab scripts, you clearly hear Lauer say, “Pretty sweater. Keep bending over like that. It’s a nice view.” The video never shows a clear view of Meredith’s face — and we initially thought it was Katie Couric — however the timing makes sense. Meredith took over for Katie in Sept. 2006.

According to NBC, Monday was the first time they’d ever received a complaint from an employee about Lauer. However, as you can see in the video below, he doesn’t exactly make his advances and comments a secret.

In the memo, Lack added this was the first complaint reported to NBC, but they “were also presented with reason to believe this may not have been an isolated incident.”

Lauer had been, in many ways, the face of the entire Peacock network for more than 20 years as he anchored “Today” … which is NBC’s biggest moneymaker.
