Washington State is Trying to Register Every Handgun in the State

Washington State is working hard to undermine the Constitutional rights of their citizens to “keep and bear arms.”

In November Initiative 594 will appear on the ballots of voters across the state. Initiative 594 is the government’s effort to register every sale and every transfer of a handgun that occurs in the state.

To understand what that means – let’s just say you decide to let your buddy try your gun out at the range – you better make sure you get your paperwork all filled out and filed with the state first! Including all of the various associated fees that come with a transfer.

Initiative 594 also increases the waiting period on handgun sales from 5 days to 10 days.

What good is that?

No one actually knows, but it means a longer period of time between you purchasing your gun and you actually having your gun.

Washington voters, please remember that while this initiative is appearing on your ballot, the Constitution already settled these questions.

A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

Seems pretty clear, no?
