Twitter Claims Death Threats to NRA Spokeswoman Dana Loesch Does Not Violate Its Rules

Once again we see how Big Tech’s “rules” only work to help liberals. Over the weekend, Twitter told NRA spokesperson Dana Loesch that vile death threats against her children are not a violation of the social media giant’s “rules.”

To continue our tech Tuesday posts:

Imagine. Twitter claims that it has rules against harassment, threats of violence, and other outrageous behavior… and yet, the service claims that death threats against children are no big deal.

And why would Twitter say that? Only because Dana Loesch is a spokesperson for the National Rifle Association.

The Daily Caller has the story:

It does not violate Twitter’s rules against abuse to wish death upon National Rifle Association (NRA) spokeswoman Dana Loesch’s children, Twitter ruled Sunday evening.

“The only way these people learn is if it affects them directly,” Twitter user Milan Legius wrote in a reply to Loesch. “So if Dana Loesch has to have her children murdered before she’ll understand, I guess that’s what needs to happen.”

“You may not make specific threats of violence or wish for the serious physical harm, death, or disease of an individual or group of people,” Twitter’s rules state.

But when Loesch’s husband Chris reported the tweet wishing death upon their children, Twitter initially ruled in favor of Legius.

“We have reviewed your report carefully and found that there was no violation of the Twitter Rules against abusive behavior,” Twitter wrote in an email that Chris shared with The Daily Caller News Foundation.

Imagine! Direct and explicit threats to murder children does not violate any rules against hate-speech and threats of violence! How can this be, you wonder?

Because Loesh is a conservative, of course.

Many conservative media outlets picked up the story late Sunday night. But, after the stories were published, Twitter finally realized, that, heck, maybe those threats actually DID violate its policies!

Daily Caller also reported on Twitter’s reversal:

“We have re-reviewed the account you reported and have locked it because we found it to be in violation of the Twitter Rules,” Twitter wrote in an email to Dana’s husband Chris Loesch, who shared it with TheDCNF.

“You may not make specific threats of violence or wish for the serious physical harm, death, or disease of an individual or group of people,” Twitter’s rules state.

“If the account owner complies with our requested actions and stated policies, the account will be unlocked,” Twitter wrote in the email to Loesch, who initially reported the threat against the couple’s children.

“I wish Twitter just treated all users consistently,” Dana told TheDCNF. She is used to abuse on Twitter, where the replies to her tweets are often misogynistic.

Amazing, Twitter reversed its original decision… only after it’s disgusting actions were exposed to the public. Imagine how much this happens when Twitter isn’t exposed for its hypocrisy.
