Trump’s Latest Tweet Sounds Like DACA Amnesty will be Reality

President Donald Trump is stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Many Americans do not want want to grant amnesty to DACA “Dreamers,” which would allow illegal immigrants brought to America as children to become citizens. However, we do want the wall built.

It’s almost as if we cannot have our cake and eat it too, because for the necessary votes to get funding on the wall, we will need to give on another issue. Unfortunately, it appears the only way we will get the wall is by giving on the issue of amnesty.

In December Trump  tweeted, “The Democrats have been told, and fully understand, that there can be no DACA without the desperately needed WALL at the Southern Border and an END to the horrible Chain Migration & ridiculous Lottery System of Immigration etc. We must protect our Country at all cost!”

Breitbart reports:

Trump’s comment signaled an effort to pry Democrats loose on the issue and signal good faith negotiations as he prepares to make a deal on the issue in January.

Trump campaigned extensively against amnesty in 2016, vowing to end DACA and DAPA.

“We will immediately terminate President Obama’s two illegal executive amnesties in which he defied federal law and the Constitution to give amnesty to approximately five million illegal immigrants,” Trump said in Arizona in his famous immigration reform speech.

On Tuesday Trump tweeted, “Democrats are doing nothing for DACA – just interested in politics,” he added, “DACA activists and Hispanics will go hard against Dems, will start ‘falling in love’ with Republicans and their President! We are about RESULTS.”

So are we looking at amnesty for DACA recipients? It’s looking more and more likely.
