Say what you will of Donald Trump, but he knows how to bait the media.
What the media thought was going to be a pre-debate photo op – where they’d get to question the candidate nonstop about his crude 2005 comments and whether he was going to drop out of the race – turned out to be a press conference featuring four women, three of whom were of Bill Clinton’s many rape and sexual assault accusers.
Also included in the presser was Kathy Shelton – the woman who was raped when she was twelve years old by a man who was represented by Hillary Clinton. A decade after the rape, Hillary Clinton was caught on tape laughing about various details of the case and how she got the rapist off on lesser charges.
While a few reporters attempted to question Donald Trump about his eleven-year-old comments, he paid them no mind and simply let the four women make brief statements, in which they voiced their support for Donald Trump.

The women not only portrayed Bill Clinton as a rapist and sexual assaulter, but also portrayed Hillary Clinton as an “enabler” of her husband who also threatened and tried to silence Bill’s accusers.
The media was blindsided by the “pre-debate photo op.” Check out CNN’s coverage of it:
They’re of course portraying it as a low blow on Trump’s part. It might be, but this is politics. Hillary’s campaign felt compelled to use the leaked audio and video from 2005 to attack Trump. They had no problem using a leaked tax return from the mid-90’s showing a massive nearly-billion-dollar deduction in order to depict him as a “tax evader.”
It seems to me that if they can dig up these things from Trump’s past, these four women are fair game, no matter what the media thinks.
And to top it all off, these four women were in the audience at the debate, in the same room as Bill and Hillary Clinton. And yes, Trump brought up the issue, much to the ire of the media pundits:
“So, you can say anyway you want to say it, but Bill Clinton was abusive to women. Hillary Clinton attacked those same women. Attacked them viciously. Four of them are here tonight.
“One of the women, who is a wonderful woman, at 12 years old, was raped at 12. Her client, she represented, got him off, and she’s seen laughing on two separate occasions, laughing at the girl who was raped.
“But what President Clinton did, he was impeached, he lost his license to practice law, he had to pay an $850,000 fine to one of the women, Paula Jones, who’s also here tonight, and I will tell you that when Hillary brings up a point like that, and she talks about words that I said 11 years ago, I think it’s disgraceful and I think she should be ashamed of herself, if you really want to know the truth.”
When the camera panned over to Bill Clinton in the audience during these remarks, he remained stoic and completely still:
