President Trump called for the Chicago Police Department to end its “terrible deal” with the American Civil Liberties Union preventing police from using “stop-and-frisk” measures to deter crime. He pledged on Monday to end a “crime spree” in Chicago.
There President Trump goes again interjecting common sense to fix a Democrat induced problem. Of course, Mayor Rahm Emanuel rejects Trump’s call for Chicago police to use stop-and-frisk tactics.
“It works, and it was meant for problems like Chicago: stop and frisk,” said President Donald Trump.https://t.co/D4sP3cJUkX

Addressing the International Association of Chiefs of Police Annual Convention in the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, Trump said he’s tasked the U.S. Attorney General’s office with persuading Chicago police to renew their “stop-and-frisk” policy.
Trump said crime-ridden cities, like Chicago, are “meant for” stop-and-frisk:
“I have directed the attorney general’s office to immediately go to the great city of Chicago to help straighten out the terrible shooting wave. I’m going to straighten it out and straighten it out fast. There’s no reason for what’s going on there.
“I’ve told them to work with local authorities to try to change the terrible deal the city of Chicago entered into with ACLU, which ties law enforcement’s hands – and to strongly consider ‘stop-and-frisk.’ It works, and it was meant for problems like Chicago. It was meant for it. Stop-and-frisk.” More
Chicago police agreed in August 2015 to outside monitoring of stop-and-frisk searches after an American Civil Liberties Union report that found officers stopped a disproportionate number of black people and relied on the practice more heavily than departments in other cities.
Trump’s remarks came three days after a white Chicago police officer was found guilty of murder in the 2014 shooting of a black teenager, a case that laid bare tensions between the city’s black community and police department.
Proponents say stop-and-frisk helps prevent violent crime by taking more illegal guns and other contraband off the streets. Opponents say black people and members of other minority ethnic groups are unfairly targeted by the stops.
Trump said he had directed the U.S. attorney general “go to the great city of Chicago to help straighten out the terrible shooting wave,” without providing details. More
Would a better idea be to destroy the ACLU altogether because it’s the granddaddy of all anti-American alphabet groups? Comment below and let us know what you think.
