The Most Anti-Gun Candidate EVER?

Some strong words from Senator [score]Jeff Sessions [/score](R-AL) on the heels of the National Rifle Association’s (NRA) endorsement of GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump. While speaking on Fox News Sunday in support of his candidate, Trump, Sessions told Fox News that Hillary Clinton was the most anti-gun candidate ever!

“She gets in, she will appoint somebody who changes [the Second Amendment], and what that means is it’s no longer a personal right to have a gun, but every city, county and state can completely ban firearms in America.

This would be the greatest reduction of Second Amendment rights since the founding of the Republic.”

Meanwhile, the NRA’s preferred candidate was at their leadership forum this past Friday to accept their endorsement and implore those in attendance to support his candidacy for the White House.

NRA lobbyist Chris Cox may have put the issue best when he said; “the stakes in this year’s presidential election could not be higher for gun owners.

If Hillary Clinton gets the opportunity to replace Antonin Scalia with an anti-gun Supreme Court justice, we will lose the individual right to keep a gun in the home for self-defense. Mrs. Clinton has said that the Supreme Court got it wrong on the Second Amendment. So the choice for gun owners in this election is clear. And that choice is Donald Trump.”

Of his likely opponent, Hillary Clinton, Trump said, “If she gets to appoint her judges, she will abolish the Second Amendment. In my opinion, that’s what she’s going to go for. We’re not going to let that happen. We’re going to preserve it, we’re going to cherish it.”
