A high school student was ordered by a New Jersey high school to undergo a psychiatric evaluation after they discovered a pro-gun project on his USB drive that was left behind on one of the school computers.
The project, which had been approved the year prior, was the property of Frank Harvey. Administrators at Manville High School blasted him for the project.
However, Harvey said that there was nothing wrong with it and that it had been previously approved by teacher who gave him an “A.” He even spoke about his own conduct.
“I’ve never been a violent person,” Harvey told News 12 New Jersey. “I’ve never had detention in my life.”
“It was assigned by the teacher, and I got the topic, which was anti-gun control, approved by the teacher,” Harvey added.
Here are a few of the slides from Harvey’s project.
Harvey was cleared of any wrongdoing after being questioned by police. Frankly, I don’t know what crime was committed here that he should have been questioned in the first place.
However, the teacher in question, who allegedly approved his project claims that should could not recall assigning that project.
So, school administrators sought to have Harvey undergo a 5-hour psychiatric evaluation before he would be allowed back in school.
However, his parents took a different view and said they would not take their son in for such an exam.
“I’m not taking him for a psychological evaluation because this teacher is lying and won’t own up to what she did,” Harvey’s mother Mary Vervan said.
Now, because of the actions of the school, Harvey will be seeking a GED rather than completing high school and graduating.
Nice work there Manville High School.
We’re seen more ridiculous things from the public school system, but I honestly wonder why parents continue to send their children to statist schools that only indoctrinate the children to live under tyranny rather than to educate them to glorify their Creator in whatever they do. If you are a parent that is tired of this kind of thing and want to free your child from public indoctrination centers, then I suggest you take a look at a way to begin free of charge and open up the doors of education for your child. You can do so by clicking here.
