Scarborough Compares Trump to the ‘Kardashians Coming to Washington’

MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough made a recent comment about President Trump and his administration, comparing them to a “reality TV show” such as “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” in the White House.

“This is a reality TV show, and I’m not being glib about it. This is a reality TV show. People like watching this guy go crazy,” Scarborough continued, “This is the Kardashians come to Washington.”

IJR reports:

Scarborough has been critical of the president several times within the last year, typically over his connection to special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into possible Russian collusion in the 2016 presidential election.

His comments Wednesday deviated from his usual criticism in that they were not only related to Russia.

Instead, Scarborough spoke about the various scandals that have plagued the Trump presidency thus far, specifically allegations that the president’s alleged sexual encounter with adult film actress Stormy Daniels and a subsequent “cover-up” of the affair by one of his lawyers.

“When does everything catch up to Trump? It’s not a lie, it’s not an outrageous comment, it’s not even all of the racist attacks he makes — for some reason, none of this — it’s not a sex scandal with a porn star that he pays off,” he continued,  “That would get, let’s say, nine out of 10 presidents out … OK, 999 out of 1,000. It’s not that. It’s when he gets predictable and it’s when he gets boring.”

Last month he also said that he felt like Russian leader Vladimir Putin “has something that he is holding over Donald Trump’s head,” and on Tuesday, he said he thought the president’s lawyers “think [he is] too stupid and too much of a liar to stand up to the heat.”
