Roseanne Barr Slams Franken: ‘He’s Blaming Trump for His being a Pervert’

Bang the witch is dead! Well, not really….Hillary is still alive, however, Al Franken will no longer be a Senator. So there is still a happy element in the mix.

Franken announced his resignation on Thursday after much urging from fellow lawmakers, both Democrats and Republicans alike, for his sexual misconduct.

In his goodbye speech, he attempted to justify his lewd actions by bringing up a tape that is over a decade old. The tape with a recording of President Trump bragging about how women throw themselves at you when you’re rich.

Franken said, “I, of all people, am aware that there is some irony in the fact that I am leaving, while a man who has bragged on tape about his history of sexual assault sits in the Oval Office.”

The Hill reports:

The Minnesota Democrat was referring to “Access Hollywood” footage released last year in which Trump is heard boasting about using his fame in order to kiss and grope women without their consent.

Trump apologized after the tape’s release, calling it “locker room banter,” but has since reportedly questioned the tape’s authenticity.

Actress Roseanne Barr, famous for starring in the sitcom “Roseanne” and her 2012 presidential campaign as the nominee for the Peace and Freedom Party, called Franken out on Twitter.

The 65-year-old said, “[A]l franken is blaming Trump for his being a pervert!”

She isn’t wrong though!

“But this decision is not about me,” Franken, 66, said in his resignation speech, “it’s about the people of Minnesota.”

Franked is one of multiple lawmakers accused in recent weeks of sexual misconduct, with some of the claims stretching back years. On Tuesday, Rep. John Conyers (D-Mich.), the longest-serving member of Congress, announced his own resignation after a string of women accused him of sexual harassment.

It’s sad that he cannot take responsibility for his own crappy actions without trying to place blame on President Trump.

Everything is not Trump’s fault, despite what the Democrats would like you to think.
