Remembering the Fall of the Berlin Wall

Sunday was the 25th Anniversary of the “fall” of the Berlin Wall.

For those of us who lived through the monumental upheaval that was the collapse of the Soviet Union, the fall of the wall will forever be the vision we associate with the collapse. For some 50 years we had been at odds with our nemesis behind the Iron Curtain, half the planet vs. half the planet, we had been part of the greatest conflict our world had ever seen.

Not only did the collapse of communism end our era of fear, it also freed hundreds of millions of people from the evil clutches of communist dictatorship.

As a reminder of that wonderful and important event 25 years ago – please enjoy President Ronald Reagan’s historic address at the Brandenburg Gate in June of 1987.

Here’s some coverage of the fall of the Berlin Wall… what an amazing time.
