What We’re Reading January 15, 2015

It’s a busy world out there, and you don’t have a ton of free time to be doing Internet searches for the most important items of the day… lucky for you, we do. We drink gallons of coffee in an effort to stay awake long enough to scour the far reaches of the world wide web in an effort to bring you the most important, useful and useless information every single day.

So without further ado, here’s what we’re reading Thursday January 15, 2015.

There are many problems with Mitt Romney’s decision to run for President in 2016 – Jonah Goldberg at the National Review Online covers just a few of them. Perhaps the biggest flaw… Romney’s 2012 campaign was premised on dissatisfaction with Obama, not enthusiasm for Mitt. In 2016 people will be looking for a GOP candidate they WANT to vote for.

This might be hard for Jeb Bush to hear – but apparently among Romney acolytes (and the man himself) Jeb Bush is a big joke. Not everyone thinks Jeb Bush is a strong presidential candidate, Republican donors say Mitt Romney is certain that ‘a Bush can’t beat a Clinton.’

No matter the reason, the truth is that the GOP base just doesn’t like Jeb Bush.

This as the feud that revived conservatism.

The shattered Presidency of Barack H. Obama. The Obama team may have just wasted their last chance to ever be respected on foreign policy.
