Rand Paul Blames Politicians for Eric Garner’s Death

Once again, I totally agree with Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) on this.

Senator Paul was on Hardball with Chris Matthews on MSNBC when he was asked about the Eric Garner killing.

“I think it’s hard not to watch that video of him saying ‘I can’t breathe, I can’t breathe’ and not be horrified by it. I think there is something bigger than just the individual circumstances; obviously the individual circumstances are important, but I think it’s also important to know that some politician put a tax of $5.85 on a pack of cigarettes. So they’ve driven cigarettes under ground by making them so expensive, but then some politician also had to direct the police to say ‘hey, we want you to arrest people for selling a loose cigarette.’ For someone to die over breaking that law, there really is no excuse for it. But I do blame the politician. We’ve put our police in a difficult situation with bad laws.”

Senator Paul is 100% right. The liberal policies of New York were a HUGE contributing factor in the death of Eric Garner. More than 5 police officers were on the scene to arrest him for selling loose cigarettes… was there no other crime in New York that day? How could this be a good use of limited police resources? Liberals are crushing our freedoms with all of the new laws and new taxes they are placing on our society. America better wake up, because our freedom may be the next thing to be choked out.
