President Trump Requests Major Investigation Into Voter Fraud

At the bottom of the screen during CNN’s coverage of Trump’s statement about voter fraud was “Breaking News – White House: Trump Believes Millions Voted Illegally.” This is hardly “breaking news.” Trump has been talking about that for a long time.

After the media had a heyday with this “breaking news,” with CNN host Brian Stelter asking if Trump wants to be remembered as the “fake news president” or the “conspiracy theory president,” and other outlets saying that the President has provided no evidence for his beliefs, the President has decided to call for a major investigation into voter fraud. Fox News reported:

President Trump announced Wednesday that he will be asking for a “major investigation” into alleged nationwide voter fraud — a day after his press secretary was grilled on Trump’s claims that 3 million to 5 million people had voted illegally in November.

Trump announced the move on Twitter, and said the probe will focus on “those registered to vote in two states, those who are illegal and even those registered to vote who are dead (and many for a long time).”

This is one way to know for sure whether there was illegal voting going on. The media’s narrative has consistently been that there is no evidence of widespread fraud. That’s because there’s never been a major investigation. And that’s because authorities have seen no need to investigate. Because they say there’s no evidence.
