In what was probably the worst kept secret in the history of secret keeping, original Obama campaign manager David Axelrod is finally admitting what we knew all along… President Obama is a HUGE Liar. It seems that way back during the 2008 Presidential campaign, then candidate Obama was all for gay marriage, but his advisors thought it could cost him the White House. So instead of telling the truth and admitting his personal beliefs, he made up some ridiculous tripe about his religious beliefs dictating that he not support gay marriage.
Here’s what Axelrod writes in his new book,
“Opposition to gay marriage was particularly strong in the black church, and as he ran for higher office, he grudgingly accepted the counsel of more pragmatic folks like me, and modified his position to support civil unions rather than marriage, which he would term a ‘sacred union’… Having prided himself on forthrightness, though, Obama never felt comfortable with his compromise and, no doubt, compromised position. He routinely stumbled over the question when it came up in debates or interviews.”
To try and cover for Obama’s lie, Axelrod even says that Obama once told him that, “I’m just not very good at bullsh***ing.”

I don’t buy any of it, of course. Obama has proven himself to be a very, very good “BullSh**er” over the years. So I just can’t even begin to believe Axelrod’s little tale.
My bet is that President Obama has always supported gay marriage, and while he would rather have been vocal in his support, it probably didn’t take much convincing for him to lie to America about his personal stance on the issue. Obama only cares about himself, and this little anecdote is simply more proof of that fact.
Though, I think it gives us a great new nickname for the President…
“The BULLSH**ER in Chief.”
