Pelosi: If GOP Repeals Obamacare, Grandma Will be ‘Living in the Guest Room’ [VIDEO]

Representative [score]Nancy Pelosi [/score](D-CA) echoed Senator [score]Charles Schumer[/score]’s (D-NY) comments about how repealing Obamacare would “make America sick again.” As if Americans are not sick now and feeling burdened by a monstrosity of “emergency” government intervention that was shoved through the legislative process without anyone reading it. The only way people were going to be able to find out what was in the law was if it was passed.

Nancy Pelosi was one of Obamacare’s biggest fans early on. She was like an Obamacare infomercial.

A few years ago, she said that Obamacare was going to be a “liberation, a freedom.” She called it “a glorious thing.” She said, “It’s about life, a healthier life, liberty, the freedom to pursue our happiness. It honors the vows of our founders. A person can follow his or her passion and not be chained by a policy, so they could start a business, be self-employed, change jobs.”

Now that it seems the fate of Obamacare hangs in the balance, she’s invoking fear tactics to try to convince Republicans not to pull the plug. If they do, things could be so bad that “grandma will be living in the guest room.” Here’s what Pelosi said:

Trending: Evidence of the Silicon Valley Cult

If you’re a senior, you know almost half of Medicaid is about long-term healthcare.

Do you want grandma living in the guest room? You repeal the Affordable Care Act.

If you go along– This is part of an initiative that is part of the Ryan budget, that says we’re going to voucherize Medicare, we’re going to block-grant Medicaid [to the states].

So this is a tremendous assault on the health and health security and finanial security that goes with what the Affordabl Care Act has done for the American people.

And so, ‘Make America Sick Again’ – is that what the Republicans want to do?
