Now Liberals Want Dating Apps to Eliminate the Race of Members

Now liberals want to ruin dating apps because they want to force the cell phone apps to eliminate mentions of members’ race in their descriptions

The next thing liberals want to ruin is dating apps, apparently. There is a new movement afoot to force the cell phone apps to eliminate mentions of members’ race in their dating descriptions because, you see, it’s “raaaacist” for people to know what color or ethnicity you are.

Apparently being attracted to only certain types of people is now “racist.”

Now, wait a minute. I thought liberals always said “love is love” when they were defending gay marriage. They have been saying this for decades. That you “can’t help who you are attracted to.” Yet, now they want to force you to stop being attracted to certain types of people you find attractive?

So, white men can’t be attracted to white women? For that matter, what if a Latino woman is only attracted to Asian men? If the race is excluded from bios, how will she narrow down her search? What if a black man only wants to date black women? Is that not to be allowed? What if an Asian man only wants to date black men? Is that “racist”?

Apparently the answer to all those questions is “yes.” If you are only attracted to paramours of a certain race… you are now a racist. No matter what combination you are talking about, it is racist.

The story comes from the US Guardian:

Sinakhone Keodara reached his breaking point last July. Loading up Grindr, the gay dating app that presents users with potential mates in close geographical proximity to them, the founder of a Los Angeles-based Asian television streaming service came across the profile of an elderly white man. He struck up a conversation, and received a three-word response: “Asian, ew gross.”

He is now considering suing Grindr for racial discrimination. For black and ethnic minority singletons, dipping a toe into the water of dating apps can involve subjecting yourself to racist abuse and crass intolerance.

“Over the years I’ve had some pretty harrowing experiences,” says Keodara. “You run across these profiles that say ‘no Asians’ or ‘I’m not attracted to Asians’. Seeing that all the time is grating; it affects your self-esteem.”

The paper goes on to describe similar experiences from several others before going on to decry the “racism” inherent in dating apps.

So, many of these dating apps are attempting to PCize their customers and force them to date people to whom they are not attracted. One can only assume that this will be the end of dating apps.

Finally, one blatant lie popped up in the story written by the Guardian’s Chris Stokel-Walker. Here was the very last paragraph of the Sept. 29 article (my bold for emphasis):

There has been a backlash to Grindr’s announcement that it will be cracking down on people voicing a preference for one race over others. But to Keodara, the arguments against the decision are problematic. “A lot of people say this is preference,” he says. “But just because it’s preference, it doesn’t mean it’s right. Slavery was white people’s preference.”

This man is an ignoramus. The TRUTH is, every race, every ethnicity, and every nationality has been a slave to someone at some point or another.

So, no, Mr. Keodara. “Slavery” was not the exclusive “preference” of white people. You, sir, are either wholly ignorant about human history or a liar.
