Michigan Woman Kicked Out of Mall for ‘Inappropriate’ Outfit

What is going on in Michigan? It is hot as all get out right now, pretty much every where in America, and we are doing all we can to stay cool. Whether that means eating popsicles in the shade, swimming in the pool, or simply wearing a tank top with shorts.

One Michigan woman was minding her own business, shopping at Woodland Mall, when she was suddenly kicked out after someone complained about her “inappropriate” outfit. That immediately leads you to believe that her shorts were too short or that she was showing some serious cleavage….right? Wrong-O. She was in a Disney tank-top that sported Dory, shorts, and flats. There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with her outfit. In fact, it is more modest than most the girls you see walking down the street? So what went wrong? Thats what she would like to know!

As many of you know, it is NINETY degrees outside today in West Michigan. Aka, really hot. So, of course, I decided to dress for the weather: shorts and a tank top. But apparently, how I was dressed (see photo below) was too slutty for the public, as I was kicked out of the Woodland Mall today.

Yup. Apparently some anonymous person reported me to MALL SECURITY for inappropriate dress and I was kicked out.

Never mind that within a one foot radius there were plenty of girls dressed just like me, since it’s NINETY degrees outside. I am so angry right now I’m shaking. I felt so embarrassed I almost cried. All because a stranger didn’t like how I dressed.

The Woodland Mall should be ashamed of themselves, as well as that anonymous complainer. It’s my body, and it’s hot outside! I’m not going to show up in jeans and a sweater, sorry. Don’t like it? Look away! I was out having a fun time with my sister and next thing I know, I’m out on the street. Slut-shaming how girls are dressed is deplorable and outdated, and it needs to stop.

According to Fox News, Pewee wrote another post stating that she was not attacking the mall, and said, “but I definitely think that they need to clean up their act. Their clothing policy on their website doesn’t say anything about clothing lengths.”

The Woodland Mall’s office commented in Pewee’s post and apologized for her experience. The mall referred Fox News to this apology that was posted: “We have apologized to Hannah and we apologize to our community. It is never our intention to shame or embarrass anyone. We’re going to make sure that everyone on our team is aware of how to handle situations like this in the future. We dropped the ball on this one.”

What do you think? Was her outfit inappropriate?
