Liberals Freak Out when African-American Sings “White Christmas” at Tree Lighting

Darius Rucker (formerly of Hootie and the Blowfish) is a brilliant singer/musician who has become a country music star in recent years.

Earlier this week he was asked to sing “White Christmas” at the annual tree lighting festivities in New York City.

His performance was wonderful and led to a minor Internet eruption… only all of the attention wasn’t on how well Rucker performed… but on the fact that a black man was singing “White Christmas.”

Apparently, if you are African-American, it is now wrong to use the word “white” in any context. It’s almost as if the Internet peanut gallery had no idea that the song “White Christmas” is about snow… and not white people. This is really getting to be too much, isn’t it?

Anyway, I personally thought that Rucker’s performance of the song was fun and festive. He just released a Christmas album back in October (and yes, “White Christmas” is one of the songs on the album) and I highly recommend it, if you like Christmas music! You can find the album at!
