Liberals Cover Up 15 Years Worth of Sexual Abuse – Worried About Being Called Racist

A terrifying and disgusting story is unfolding in the city of Rotherham in northern England. Some 1400 children have been sexually abused, tortured and trafficked over the last 16 years, all while the authorities simply turned a blind eye to the problem.

Why did the police, social services and local government all ignore the horrors that were happening right under their noses, even as the children and families complained about the crimes?

Because… the liberals who lead Rotherham were “worried” about being called racists or “destabilizing” the local community.

Professor Alexis Jay, the former chief inspector of social work in Scotland, led the investigation and published the report of her findings detailed the horrific events over the last 16 years.

“No one knows the true scale of child sexual exploitation in Rotherham over the years. Our conservative estimate is that approximately 1,400 children were sexually exploited over the full inquiry period, from 1997 to 2013.

“It is hard to describe the appalling nature of the abuse that child victims suffered. They were raped by multiple perpetrators, trafficked to other towns and cities in the north of England, abducted, beaten, and intimidated.”

She added: “There were examples of children who had been doused in petrol and threatened with being set alight, threatened with guns, made to witness brutally violent rapes and threatened they would be next if they told anyone.”

Prof Jay said: “Within social care, the scale and seriousness of the problem was underplayed by senior managers. At an operational level, the police gave no priority to child sex exploitation, regarding many child victims with contempt and failing to act on their abuse as a crime.”

It emerged that there had been three previous reports into the problem which had been suppressed or ignored by officials, either because they did not like or did not believe the findings.

Tuesday’s report concluded that by far the majority of perpetrators were Asian men, and said council officials had been unwilling to address the issue for fear of being labelled racist.

The report stated: “Some councillors seemed to think it was a one-off problem, which they hoped would go away. Several staff described their nervousness about identifying the ethnic origins of perpetrators for fear of being thought racist; others remembered clear direction from their managers not to do so.”

For years, the police failed to get a grip of the problem, dismissing many of the victims as “out of control” or as “undesirables” who were not worthy of police protection.

muslim groomingThe United Kingdom (and England in particular) has become so caught up in the morass of political correctness that terrible events like this have become possible. On Eagle Rising we’ve document a handful of times when local police have investigated and arrested Christians solely for speaking their Biblical beliefs on Christianity. Why? Because the British are worried that Christians will offend minority religious groups or secular individuals (particularly homosexuals). However, when at least 1400 children are tortured, raped and terrorized over an almost 20 year period…. the very same Politically Correct culture ties the hands of local authorities who fail to even investigate the possible offenses!

Even in the Telegraph’s article on this story, they call the disgusting criminals who did these terrible things “Asian men” (which is literally true) – when the report written by Professor Jay clearly concludes that almost all of the perpetrators are Muslim Pakistani men. Why are we calling them “Asian?” Such a broad term could include local Chinese, Sikh and Indian communities as well!

Sadly, while this story may be heartbreaking, it’s not even the first example of such a case in England. It has happened multiple times in northern England and been perpetrated mostly by Muslim men of Pakistani descent.

You may wonder what the social services officials in this poor working-class town were doing while all of this was happening.

rotherham-ukipSocial workers from Rotherham council in Yorkshire, which is controlled by the Labour party, removed the three Eastern European children from the foster parents — and from what was by all accounts a stable and loving home — after learning that the couple were members of the right-of-center UK Independence Party, or UKIP. Among other policies, UKIP wants to tighten Britain’s notoriously lax immigration laws.

Council officials said the party was “racist,” and Joyce Thacker, the council’s director of children and young people’s services, said she had to consider the “cultural and ethnic needs” of the children: a baby girl, and an older girl and boy. But the council’s argument is a series of evasions based on a blatant lie. This is a clear case of left-wing officials abusing their power to persecute individuals for holding politically incorrect beliefs.

Yep. They were removing kids from “stable and loving” homes because the parents belonged to the wrong political party. (By the way, UKIP is not racist, they’re just conservative – you can check them out here.)

So Joyce Thacker and her social service agency are removing children from safe and loving homes – while ignoring the pleas, cries and agony of children who are being tortured, gang-raped and terrorized.

Oh, and she’s not resigning. She doesn’t think she’s part of the problem in Rotherham, even though she’s been in a position of authority for much of that time.

I’ll keep saying this as long as it is necessary.

Racism is always evil. People who spew racism are either ignorant or evil.

However, society does itself a disservice by turning to political correctness in an effort to quell racist language and ideology. Worse still is when we use political correctness to justify repressing freedom of speech. Legislating away our freedom of speech can lead to much worse things than offensive language and hurt feelings.

Learn the lessons of Rotherham, or else we’ll be experiencing similar problems ourselves in the not-too-distant future.
