In what police are calling a completely “random” knockout attack, a man was sucker punched once in the head by a young black male, causing the victim to stumble to his death.
The knockout attack happened in Philadelphia. Surveillance footage shows three black males between the ages of about 16 to 20 standing in front of a man and staring at him. One of the suspects approached the victim – identified as 30-year-old Mardoqueo Sincal Jochola – and punched him in the head. As Jochola fell to the ground, dead, the three assailants fled the scene.
According to Lt. Philip Riehl of the Philadelphia Police Department, “He all of a sudden, without any notice throws a punch, and it’s clear the victim never saw it coming.”
Sincal’s brother said that he worked landscaping jobs. They both hailed from Guatemala but have lived in the U.S. for the past eight years.
The victim’s brother is obviously heartbroken over the knockout attack that killed Sincal. “Only he’s my brother,” he told Eyewitness News. “Now, he really leave me forever. I never see him never ever.”

Now, he doesn’t even want to live in the States anymore: “I want to go back to my country,” he said. “I don’t want to live here no more.”
Lieutenant Riehl said that “it certainly is a possibility” that the attack was part of the knockout “game.” He added, “But regardless of what the motivation is, it’s still a pretty scary crime that some person could be walking down the street and be punched for no reason and killed.”
Since only one of the three suspects threw the punch, police are hoping that the other two will come forward and out the third.
