Kirsten Powers throws out legal history to deny free speech to those who stay anonymous.
You would never know, if you listen to CNN’s Kirsten Powers, that many Founding Fathers wrote under fake names. The Federalist Papers themselves were written in such a manner. According to Kirsten Powers, if someone is saying things that are wrong, one has no right to anonymity. The courts have repeatedly overruled her. Basically, Kirsten Powers holds an opinion that shows she is ignorant about history.
The Washington Times reports, “CNN’s Kirsten Powers: ‘People do not have a right to stay anonymous’”
Ms. Powers fired off a series of tweets Thursday defending her network’s decision to threaten to expose the anonymous Reddit user behind the now-famous President Trump-CNN wrestling meme.
“People do not have a ‘right’ to stay anonymous so they can spew their racist, misogynist, homophobic garbage,” she wrote, adding, “I would have released his name and picture,” The Hill first reported.
