Kirk Cameron Defends His Comments on Women and His Faith

Kirk Cameron has become the latest conservative cultural icon to become a punching ban for the liberal media. He has spoken openly, honestly and gently about the things that he believes, and the politically correct leftist cultural zealots have hammered him for it. He recently made some comments praising “stay-at-home” moms and the choice that they’ve made to raise their children and care for their home.

“If you are a mom, if you are a wife, if you’re the keeper of your home, I want you to know that your joy is so important this Christmas. Because Christmas is about joy and if the joy of the Lord is your strength, remember, the joy of the mom is her children’s strength. So don’t let anything steal your joy.”

Somehow, liberal cultural observers decided that what Cameron was saying in his Facebook message was that women who don’t stay home and choose instead to have a profession/career are somehow less than women who do.

This is a message that Cameron rejects saying instead that his comments were meant to remind stay at home moms that they were tremendously valuable.

Cameron said he was trying to applaud stay-at-home moms who might feel “under-appreciated.”

“I see how hard my wife works. And she has chosen to reserve her time, energy, everything at this chapter in her life to pour into six kids, which is a huge job,” said Cameron, adding that it’s “offensive” when people imply that stay-at-home moms are doing less of a job than a working mom.

Don’t forget to go see Kirk Cameron’s latest movie “Saving Christmas” which has been making some serious waves in the Christian community.
