Jeb Bush Tries to Become Relevant – Challenges Trump to a One-on-One Debate

“Donald, I’ll take you on one-on-one in a debate, any time, any place. You name it and I’ll do it.”

Um. So, this is an interesting proposal from the guy currently running 5th in the GOP race for the White House. But… why would Donald Trump ever agree to a one-on-one debate with guy mired at 3% and sitting in 5th place? Why would he skip over Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, and Dr. Ben Carson? For that matter, why would Jeb Bush rate a one-on-one debate over the likes of Chris Christie, Rand Paul and Carly Fiorina – his numbers are not statistically any better than theirs.

The only reason Jeb could possibly believe he deserves a one-on-one debate is hubris. He thinks that he is owed a shot at the lead, but the reality is that Jeb is just another candidate in this race. His views on any number of issues don’t set him apart from his competitors, and his body of work is no more (or less) worthy of mentioning. In fact, Jeb’s biggest claim to fame is simply the fact that his last name is Bush.

Wake up, Jeb. You deserve nothing from us or from Donald Trump. You are a 5th place candidate suffering from the disease of “low-energy,” and your biggest fans all reside in the cesspool that is the GOP establishment. Sadly for you, Jeb, those same establishment stooges who supported you 6 months ago have moved on. They’ve found a new, fresh, “high-energy” beau named Marco Rubio, and they’ve forgotten all about you and your campaign.

Here’s an idea: I hear there will soon be a job opening in Florida. They’re going to need a new Senator next year and it’d be nice if the GOP could hold on to the seat.

Jeb Bush was asked about selfies at a Florida event today. He ended up doing a whole weird standup-comedy-like riff about selfie culture. He started out by saying, “The selfie is now the 11th Amendment of the Bill of Rights.” When Bush said “it is a requirement that you take one, and I do it with great joy in my heart,” the audience laughed and clapped a little as Bush made this expression: Bush talked about how people used to want signatures but now they want their “damn selfie.” He even talked about proper selfie technique, including arm length and how to angle selfies so you “look skinnier.”

At another point during the event, Bush challenged Donald Trump to a one-on-one debate. Or, you know, they could just have a selfie-off.
