Hitting Home: Liberal Vandals Target Conservative Writer, Set Car on Fire

The more tolerant the left claims to be, the more they prove that they are quite the opposite.

Warner Todd Huston has been a Conservative writer for over a decade, and has appeared on Fox News, CNN, Fox Business, and a few dozen radio shows in both the United States and the United Kingdom.

Since 2001, the strong Republican voice has been heard and respected through hundreds of websites, magazines, radio shows, and newspapers. However, now he has become the target of liberal vandals who have absolutely no respect for fellow Americans and their property.

Huston found his garage door defaced, flags hanging outside his home destroyed, and now his car has been set ablaze by these punks.

To make matters worse, Huston believes the perps are none other than his own neighbors. He wrote: “Over the course of this year someone in my neighborhood has targeted me,” he added, “they are trying to intimidate me.”

First they pulled a flag off of his flag staffed and it was “left ripped and in pieces” on his lawn. Upon replacing the flag, it disappeared again a few weeks later. Then his garage was egged and they wrote “racist” on it as well.

As if that was not bad enough, he said, “But then something more specific occurred.” Huston continued, “On the night of July 1, the U.S. Army flag that I fly in honor of my son who is in the service was scorched and on it was written in marker “die dogs.”

They have grown brave in their advancements, coming right up to his home. They decided to up their foolishness and set his car on fire. Huston wrote:

At about 1 AM or so on Saturday morning, I was awakened by a noise outside my home. I can’t really say what the noise was as it woke me from a deep sleep. It was just a shout that awoke me. I looked at my window and saw what struck me as a strange light outside. So, I went to the front door…

And saw my car interior on fire…

The surface of my passenger seat was set aflame and the entire interior of the car destroyed. Fortunately it isn’t a new car (it’s a 1999 Oldsmobile 88). But unfortunately, because it is so old I never put it on comprehensive coverage leaving it only at liability coverage. So, insurance won’t cover this destruction and I am now without a car.

Naturally the police became involved, but they say they won’t classify it as arson because they don’t have any evidence to show for it. A plastic pop bottle and cap was left inside by who ever did this. It smelled of gas to me.

He said the police questions as to whether he smoked in the car. He informed them that he does not even smoke cigarettes and that there was nothing of his doing that could have possibly caused the car to catch on fire.

So now Huston is working to figure out who is defacing his property, and is now without a car as well. Do these punks have no shame??

Huston’s son started a GoFundMe to help his father. So far they have raised almost $700 of their $10,000 goal. His son wrote:

The two times I served overseas, my dad was there for me and my wife and kids and now I want to be there for him. When I was in Iraq he took in my children and wife and never charged me a cent (He did this for my younger brother’s family, too). He has been a wonderful father and grandfather.

But now, he needs our help. His car was set ablaze by vandals who have been systematically targeting his house all because he dares to write and speak his conscience. This is what it’s like for a conservative to live in a blue state like Illinois.

Unfortunately, instances like this are becoming more common. The left is tolerant of your opinion if they agree with you. If not, you’re forced to look over your shoulder at all times.
