On Sunday’s episode of NBC’s Meet the Press Hillary Clinton once again articulated what is one of the most extreme positions in the abortion debate. The Democrat frontrunner for President argued that women should have the ability to kill their children right up to the moment of birth and that living human beings do not have any rights until the moment they escape their mother’s womb.
Apparently, Hillary Clinton believes that a woman’s vagina contains some magical constitutional mojo that it passes on to a child as they pass out of the birth canal.
That’s the only explanation I can gather from her answer on when a child receives Constitutional “rights.”
Chuck Todd: Give me your straightforward position on the issue of abortion.
Trending: What’s Wrong with Liberals?
Hillary Clinton: My position is in line with Row v. Wade, that women have a constitutional right to make these moment intimate and personal and difficult decisions based on their conscience, their faith, their family, their doctor. And that it is something that really goes to the core of privacy. And I want to maintain that constitutional protection. Under Roe v. Wade as you know there is room for reasonable kinds of restrictions after a certain point in time. I think the life, the health of the mother are clear. And those should be included even as one moves on in pregnancy. So I have been — I’ve had the same position for many years.
Chuck Todd: When or if does an unborn child have constitutional rights?
Hillary Clinton: Well, under our laws currently, that is not something that exists. The unborn person doesn’t have constitutional rights. Now, that doesn’t mean that we don’t do everything we possibly can in the vast majority of instances to, you know, help a mother who is carrying a child and wants to make sure that child will be healthy, to have appropriate medical support. It doesn’t mean that, you know, don’t do everything possible to try to fulfill your obligations. But it does not include sacrificing the woman’s right to make decisions. And I think that’s an important distinction that under Roe v. Wade we’ve had refined under our Constitution.
Here’s the problem with Hillary Clinton’s position – it’s completely fallacious. The Constitution clearly argues that every PERSON is endowed with certain “unalienable rights” that come not from man or government but from God. Every Person. (Disclaimer – the 14th Amendment does say that citizenship is applied upon birth, but the Constitution says that every PERSON has unalienable rights.) This does not mean “every person that has been born after 9 months in the womb” — it means every person. Today, science has proven that the preborn child is a living, feeling, thinking person long before they ever emerge from their mother’s womb.
The problem is that liberals hate science.
Also, Clinton is wrong about our laws. There have been (and continue to be) many laws arguing against abortion. Our problem is that back in the early 1970s, before science could catch up to morality, the Supreme Court decided that women should have the privacy to murder their own children. So this isn’t about our current laws. This about the evil, damnable even, liberal movement to continue protecting legalized child sacrifice.
Folks, Hillary Clinton (and the media) continue to argue that it is pro-life conservatives who are the “extremists” on the issue of abortion, but the reality is that it is they who are the extremists. Today, a premature child can be born as early as 22 weeks and still have a chance at surviving outside his mother’s womb. However, Hillary Clinton believes that the child’s mother should be able to murder that thinking, feeling baby for another 20 weeks!
Hillary Clinton is the Extremist. Hillary Clinton is too extreme for America.
