Fox Contributor Challenges NFL Protestors: ‘What Are You Kneeling For?’

Fox News’ newest Conservative commentator, Tomi Lahren, is telling it how it is, and asking all the right questions.

On Wednesday, she inquired just why exactly the NFL players are kneeling in protest. She said that there are “a hundred different answers” about what their motives could be.

So she challenged the NFL protestors. Lahren said, “I would like to ask these players ‘What exactly are you kneeling for and why have you chosen the flag and the anthem to do it?'”

The action of kneeling during the national anthem before football games first began with then-San Francisco quarterback Colin Kaepernick as a means of protesting against social and racial injustice in the U.S.

Lahren continued, “I bet if we asked a hundred players, we would get a hundred different answers. And then further more, I would like to ask those same players, ‘What would it take to get you to stand and respect the anthem?’ And again you’d probably get a hundred different answers, if you’d get an answer at all.”

She isn’t wrong! So far, on just Facebook alone, I have seen many different responses as to why they are protesting and kneeling. I don’t think anyone is on the same page here.

Lahren’s comments come after the NFL on Tuesday decided not to implement a rule that would require players to stand during the national anthem.

President Trump first took aim last month at NFL players who chose to kneel during the anthem, saying they should be fired.

He has kept up those objections since, calling for a league rule change.

The president responded to the NFL’s decision in an early morning tweet on Wednesday, saying it shows “total disrespect for our great country!”
