Even MSNBC is Tired of Hearing People Try to Defend Hillary Clinton

The “Ragin’ Cajun” was once a feared figure on the Washington, D.C. political scene, and who knows, maybe he still makes some people shake in their boots. But the recent Hillary Clinton email scandal and James Carville’s role in trying to put out the fire has really damaged Carville’s once stellar reputation.

On Wednesday morning Carville once again took his act onto the MSNBC airwaves, where he usually gets a pretty warm welcome and carte blanche to defend Clinton while abusing the GOP. However, that didn’t happen this time around. This time around it seemed that the crew of Morning Joe had allowed their patience to wear thin, and they just weren’t prepared for the obsequious ramblings of another Clinton sycophant.

As soon as Carville started in on the right-wing conspiracy to taint the Clinton family, it was as if someone released a pressure valve in MSNBC’s studio and all of that pent up frustration came pouring out at once… and it was all aimed directly at Carville. I don’t think he was ready for it.

In fact, at one point he’s even forced to admit that the questions about Hillary’s server are legitimate. (It was a win for the Morning Joe team – even if Mika had to drag it out of Carville by using Dick Cheney as her example.)

But that may have been the most relaxed moment of the show for Carville, because the rest of the segment was filled with shouting, exasperation, frustrating and a lot of heavy breathing and sighing.

In particular, please enjoy the frustration exuding from Mika Brzezinski as she tries to understand how Carville can possibly justify his defense of Clinton.

Mika Brzezinski: It’s an easy place to go, but I’m asking you, if you think it’s appropriate that she has her own server, she wipes it clean, maybe the e-mail’s on that server, but we wouldn’t know, James Carville, are State Department’s e-mails.

James Carville: There is nothing wrong with her doing that. It’s not against the law, it’s not against regulations. Other people have done it before. You can ask.

Mika Brzezinski: It is against policy. Why are you saying that?

James Carville: It’s not against the law. What regulation is it?

Mika Brzezinski: I didn’t say law, I said policy. In the State Department, there is a policy that came in place.

James Carville: I think what she did was totally legal. The committee can ask her, she gave a press conference. I’m sure she’s going to answer for this in the end, just like every other quote “Clinton scandal” that we’ve been through. At the end of the day, I predict this whole thing is going to amount to diddly squat.
