Even After Left-Wing Media Tirades, GOP Still More Popular Than Democrat Party

After years of being behind the Eight Ball, a new poll finds that the Republican Party is now more popular than the Democrats.

Yep, even after the constant drum beat of hate thrown against them by the old media complex.

For the first time in four years, the GOP has edged the Democrats in this new Gallup poll. Of course, it was by only one percentage point, but still, after the media onslaught the GOP has suffered, it’s amazing that the Republicans aren’t twenty points down.

According to Daily Wire:

Gallup reports that 45% of Americans view Republicans favorably, up from 36% last September. For Democrats, 44% see them favorably, unchanged since last year.

“Only one other time in the last decade has the Republican Party had a significantly higher score than the Democratic Party,” Gallup reported. “That one exception came in November 2014, immediately after elections that saw Republicans capture control of the Senate and expand their majority in the House, when 42% rated the GOP favorably and 36% the Democrats.”

Republicans also outshined Democrats, slightly, in 2011 after they took back the House of Representatives.

Even better for Republicans is that members of their own party see it more favorably.

“The overall increase in the favorable image of the Republican Party is a result of a jump in the positive views of Republicans, including independents who lean toward the party,” Gallup reported. “The percentage of Republicans and leaners with favorable views of their party grew from 67% last September to 85% now.”

Breaking the numbers down further, male Republicans’ views of the party have increased significantly — to 50% — up from 37% last year. Women in the party also now view it more favorably (40%), compared to 35% saying the same last year.

This is quite a poll, actually.

It’s amazing the GOP has any fans at all after the day in and day out attacks, isn’t it?

Sadly, it doesn’t help that the party itself all too often pulls back and fails to do what its own voters want them to do. They don’t call the GOP “the stupid party” for nothing, after all.
