Don’t Like Common Core? Teacher Union Head Will “Punch You In the Face!”

We think that Michael Mulgrew, the president of the United Federation of Teachers, may need to take some medication to help him relax a bit.

“If someone takes something from me, I’m going to grab it right back out of their cold, twisted, sick hands and say it is mine! You do not take what is mine! … I’m going to punch you in the face and put you in the dirt!”

“You sick people need to deal with us and the children we teach!”

The amount of delusion that liberals like Mulgrew operate under must be crushing. To believe that you MUST be right — to believe that no other option is possible, to believe that everyone who disagrees does so because they are filled with hate  and/or greed — must be psychologically devastating! Perhaps this is why Mr. Mulgrew’s first response to anyone who believes the Common Core to be a bad idea is to threaten physical violence?

What Mulgrew and other foolish political hacks like him need to learn is that “our” children are not “their” children.

He has no right to feel anger, frustration, or anything else for my child’s educational opportunities. My child is not his child. He does not know what is best for my child; in fact he knows NOTHING about my child.

I, the parent, am the only person who needs to get fired up about my child’s education. And, in my opinion, everything about the Common Core – from design to implementation – has been poorly manufactured and rolled out. So being a free American with all of the rights and privileges that affords me, I choose to educate my child outside of the Common Core. And I do so happily.
