Donna Brazile Slams Obama Economy in Email to Podesta

Liberals are always quick to “fact-check” conservatives when they say that the economy is in bad shape. Now, I’m sure it’s good for some people in certain sectors. But many people are struggling.

Liberals point out the unemployment numbers, which is funny, since most people understand that the official jobless numbers don’t include those who have left the workforce altogether. Many of those people are retired, but many of them gave up looking for work. So, while they are truly unemployed, they don’t get counted.

In order to get a more accurate picture of unemployment and the overall economy, those people who gave up looking for work have to be included. But the Bureau of Labor Statistics doesn’t think so. What we end up getting from them is a highly sugar-coated picture of the economy, which only serves to give the President a rosy image.

WikiLeaks has revealed that even Democratic National Committee interim chair(wo)man Donna Brazile agrees with the sentiments of many conservatives on the economy. In other words, her “private opinion” matches the public and private opinions of conservatives.

Usually liberals bring up how even though Obama “inherited a mess” from Bush, he was still able to “save” the economy from certain depression. That’s what Hillary said in the last debate.

But Donna Brazile’s private comments paint a different picture of the economy. Here’s what she said in an email dated earlier this year in February to John Podesta:

“I think people are more in despair about how things are — yes new jobs but they are low wage jobs. HOUSING is a huge issue. Most people pay half of what they make to rent.”

So, if that’s her private opinion, what was her public opinion? Just about a month before her critical comments to Podesta, she tweeted out:

“Under President Obama, the economy has experienced a record 70 straight months of private-sector job growth. Over 14 million jobs!”

Maybe this is evidence that liberals – at least those in positions of political influence – are just closeted conservatives.
