Donald Trump Honors the Families of those Killed by Illegal Immigrants in California

A pretty cool moment took place this past week in California during a Donald Trump campaign rally. The GOP frontrunner took a few minutes out of his time to honor the families of those killed by illegal immigrants, even allowing them to share some of what they’re trying to get the government to do. Mr. Trump sympathized with the suffering of these families before bringing them on stage to explain why they had come to the rally.

Jameil Shaw, whose son was murdered by an illegal alien in 2008, spoke for the Remembrance Project, “We demand Americans first. We don’t care about illegal aliens.” The illegal immigrant who killed Shaw’s son had already been arrested on gun charges several times before and yet, incredibly, he was still living here in the United States.

After Mr. Shaw spoke, Trump explained that every member of the Remembrance Project had a similar story to tell, and it was because the government had not yet taken the problem seriously.

“They all have a very similar story to tell. People that shouldn’t have been here, people that should have never been allowed to come over the border and they come here like its nothing, they walk through it like its nothing. We’re going to stop it and we’re going to build a wall.”

This is the issue that got Donald Trump so much traction at the beginning of his campaign and while he has eased up on the rhetoric in recent months, it is obviously still the most important issue for many of Mr. Trump’s supporters.
