Democrat Presidential Martin O’Malley says, “WiFi is a Human Right”

I thought I’d gotten used to all of the things Democrats seem to believe are rights… but I hadn’t.

The Democrat Governor of Maryland, Martin O’Malley, recently told CNN that he believed WiFi was a human right.

“Baby boomers and older were often told that if we specialize in terms of our skills, we will be more secure and prosperous, that the definition of ‘making it” was living out in the suburbs as far way as possible with the biggest lawn possible,” he said. “Young people have flipped that on its head. Younger people are choosing to live in cities. They realize that connections to each other are making us better. That WiFi is a human right. That proximity is important to entrepreneurship, access to capital and talent and diversity. There is an opportunity there for us as a nation to embrace that new perspective.“

This tweet sums it up nicely…

Ladies and Gentlemen… this is your Democrat Party! Where words are meaningless and so is the difference between rights and … EVERYTHING ELSE.

martin o'malleyHere are a few other things that Martin O’Malley and his liberal acolytes also believes to be rights…

Golf Tees, Cheese on your hamburgers, an extra shot of espresso for your Starbucks beverage of choice, HBO in your cable package, Cash Back on your Rewards card, Green Lights when travelling north on major roads, those little chocolates they put on your pillow in really swanky hotels, chips and salsa when you eat Mexican, and money from lobbyists who want you to do strip real rights and freedoms from the American people.

Sadly, Martin O’Malley is not the problem; he is simply a symptom of the greater issue. Modern liberalism/progressivism has become infected by a philosophy of comfort as a right. Instead of a few unalienable rights which give the person the ability to pursue their own happiness, for the modern liberal, the basic unalienable rights are meaningless and give way to their most cherished “right”… the “right” to be pampered by the government no matter the cost to the individual.

Who cares about the First Amendment – not the Democrats.

Who cares about the Second Amendment – not the Democrats.

Who cares about the Third Amendment – not the Democrats.

Who cares about the Fourth Amendment – not the Democrats.

Etc., Etc., Etc

But who cares about WiFi? The Democrats of course…
