Democrat Congressman Endorses Violence Against Speech

We all expressed solidarity with blasphemous cartoonists, but violence against speech is fine for “Confederates.”

I thought violence against speech was wrong. When Islamic terrorists shot dead several Charlie Hebdo employees, Tennessee Representative Steve Cohen made a point of expressing solidarity with them.

Charlie Hebdo, remember, displayed the Christian Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Ghost) in an anal sex chain on one of their covers. Many Christians affirmed their right to sin in this way because they believe that all people have the right to speak and, thus, that violence against speech is wrong.

But Cohen doesn’t believe that. Antifa violence against speech by “Nazis and Confederates” is OK.

Breitbart reports, “Dem Rep Cohen: Antifa Violence Not Comparable, They Are Opposing Nazis, Confederates.

Sunday on MSNBC, when asked about President Donald Trump saying “both sides” were responsible for violence in Charlottesville, VA, Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN) said the violence coming from those on the left was not comparable.

He explained that if Antifa “was there and did things, they were there because of the Nazis and Confederates.”

He added, “It was equivocated because it’s tried to put the blame on both sides.”
