Bill O’Reilly Hints: ‘The Truth Will Come Out’

There very well may be a coordinated effort to take out prominent conservative talk show hosts. Or, not even conservatives necessarily. Just those who seem to be more supportive of President Trump.

It seemed they started going after Sean Hannity with a fake sexual harassment claim, but that fell flat.

Bill O’Reilly was easier, because he already had a history of settlements paid out to female associates who charged the firebrand ratings giant with sexual harassment.

It’s important to note that out-of-court settlements are not admissions of guilt. Settlements are often way cheaper than dragging something through court, especially considering how unpredictable judges and trial cases can be. The judge may throw out key evidence that exonerates you. The judge may rule against you and throw you in jail even though you didn’t do anything wrong. It is not uncommon for judges to favor women accusers (almost by default) in cases of sexual harassment. It’s just the way it is.

Considering all that, O’Reilly and his employer were probably counseled to just settle it out of court. That way, the women could get their money and be content, and O’Reilly could go on with his life.

Also keep in mind that Bill O’Reilly is a prime target.

Now, does that mean that he must have not done anything wrong? Of course not. But we don’t really know much of anything (except hearsay), because the cases didn’t go to trial. One African-American woman said O’Reilly called her ‘hot chocolate.’ Sexual harassment? Really?

The other factor here is that Fox News didn’t fire Bill O’Reilly because of his alleged sexual harassment toward women. They had to let him go, because advertisers were bailing following the news that he paid out millions in sexual harassment settlements to women.

But they bailed, not because they were offended by his supposed misbehavior, but because it was a business decision on their part. They didn’t want the appearance of giving money to someone who was perceived as being a serial harasser of women. They might get boycotted. So they started pulling their ads to force Fox News to sack him. So they did. And now the advertisers can rest easy that they’re not going to get boycotted now that O’Reilly’s gone. Now, they can go back to advertising on the network and reach millions of potential customers.

Whatever actually happened, Bill O’Reilly is saying that he’s confident the truth will come out. Here’s what he said on his podcast:

“I am sad that I’m not on television anymore. I was very surprised how it all turned out. I can’t say a lot, because there’s much stuff going on right now.

“But I can tell you that I’m very confident the truth will come out, and when it does, I don’t know if you’re going to be surprised – but I think you’re going to be shaken, as I am. There’s a lot of stuff involved here.

“Now, I can’t say anymore because I just don’t want to influence the flow of the information. I don’t want the media to take what I say and misconstrue it. However you, as a loyal O’Reilly listener, have a right to know, I think, down the lane what exactly happened. And we are working in that direction, okay?”
