Army Officer Not Allowed in Public School – because he’s Wearing his Uniform

In yet another disgusting display of public school efforts to promote a politically corrupt… er, I mean “correct”… culture, Lieutenant Colonel Sherwood Baker was kept out of his daughter’s school because he was wearing his military uniform. Mr. Baker was attempting to meet with his daughter’s guidance counselor to discuss her class schedule for the coming year, but it was not to be.

The Lieutenant Colonel has served in our military for 24 years and was surprised when officials at the Rochester, Michigan Adams High School security told him that he could not enter the schools with his daughter unless he first went home and changed his clothes!

The soldier’s wife, Rachel Ferhadson said, officer“Before he was allowed in, the security guard stopped him and said sorry you’re not allowed in the school. Security told him men and women in uniform weren’t allowed because it may offend another student.”

The Rochester Schools superintendent, Mr. Robert Shaner, responded to the incident quickly and apologized to the family for the ridiculous and thoughtless actions of the school personnel.

Here’s what Mr. Shaner said to the local news:

“The district has apologized for any perception that individuals in uniform are not welcome in the school. The district does not have a policy excluding individuals in uniform and will be working with administration and the firm that handles our security to make sure district policies are understood and communicated accurately.”

Sure, it’s bizarre. But this exactly the kind of thing that we should continue to expect as the liberals in our nation promote their cult of Political Correctness. This won’t be the last nonsensical thing to happen in our schools in an effort not to offend someone…
