“Anti-Semitism is a disease of the soul, and diseases are best diagnosed by examining those infected with them.” —Alan Dershowitz
President Obama’s anti-Semitism has become more and more pronounced. Lately, he has decided to aid Iran in its race to attain a nuclear weapon, with which it promises to destroy Israel. President Obama claims that the treaty under negotiation is not a “treaty.” Deputy Secretary of State Antony Blinken, in fact, says the White House regards the agreement with Iran as an “executive prerogative” (http://www.nationalreview.com/campaign-spot/396931/obama-administration-we-dont-need-congress-approve-iran-treaty-jim-geraghty). This is an unconstitutional use of executive power, since the Constitution calls all such agreements treaties, and requires a two-thirds majority of Senators to ratify.
Netanyahu’s Emergency Speech before Congress
Steve Forbes writes that “back in 2011, Speaker Boehner attempted to coordinate a Netanyahu invitation with the White House. Naturally Obama gave Boehner the back of his hand by ignoring this courtesy.” (Read more from Steve Forbes here: http://www.forbes.com/sites/steveforbes/2015/01/28/why-netanyahu-the-churchill-of-our-time-must-speak-before-congress/2/.) So, this time, Boehner obviously saw the virtue of taking action first and notifying the president later.
The fact that Iran is about to be granted carte blanche by the Obama Administration to go nuclear has been viewed as an emergency situation by many leaders of both political parties. And claims coming from the White House that Netanyahu’s speech on the matter is akin to spitting in Obama’s face (http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2015/01/why_obama_gives_netanyahu_the_cold_shoulder.html) can only indicate how Obama’s ideas on the matter must be diametrically opposed to the basic notions which Bibi Netanyahu believes are in the best interests of Israel—and, by extension, of the United States. Otherwise, why would Obama consider the easily-anticipated content of such a speech so insulting?
But Has Obama Not Expressed Support of Israel in the Past?
Although, in the past, Obama has publicly expressed support of the Jewish State, his behind-the-scenes actions—mostly unreported by the liberal news media—have announced other, darker intentions:
Obama Has Helped Israel’s Terrorist Foes
In early August 2014, both houses of Congress passed, and Obama signed, an appropriation of $225 billion for Israel’s Iron Dome missile defense system. The Senate vote was unanimous in its support, and the House of Representatives voted 395 to 8 to approve the deal. But President Obama only agreed to sign because a veto-proof majority had voted for the legislation.
Weeks before the Israeli aid package was passed, President Obama had, in fact, acted unilaterally to undermine Israel’s Defense efforts by helping their opponents, sending Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel, on July 14, 2014, to Qatar—a main Hamas arms supplier—to deliver $11 billion in advanced weaponry. This broke President Obama’s pledge to AIPAC (the American Israel Public Affairs Committee), in a speech given on March 4, 2012, that he had “Israel’s back” (http://www.whitehouse.gov/photos-and-video/video/2012/03/04/president-obama-2012-aipac-policy-conference).
Obama’s Anti-Israel Campaign to Help Hamas
On March 5, 2009, it was reported that, under Barack Obama’s orders, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was flying to Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, to give $900 million to Hamas, on behalf of US tax payers. The intent was to repair Gaza, after Israel’s three-week battle to shut down rocket-fire. Obama’s action would make sure Hamas would not be punished financially, as a result of the onslaught against Jewish lives. The money would also ensure Hamas’ ability to carry out future aggression against Israel.
On April 13, 2012, it was reported that Obama was sending another $147 million to Hamas on so-called “humanitarian grounds,” despite a hold being placed on the money by House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairwoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, a Florida Republican. Obama did not present any plan to address how he might make sure Hamas used the money only for humanitarian purposes. There were no strings attached. The funds almost certainly went towards Palestinian efforts to kill more Jews.
March of 2013 saw an infusion of $500 million more to Hamas. And, in November 2013, still $75 million more was added. President Obama has done all this without Congressional approval, and ignoring concerns that have been raised with regard to helping Hamas jihadists.
Protecting Iran from Attack
The fact that President Obama is helping Iran achieve possession of nuclear missiles, by declaring Iran to be off-limits to attack during a sham negotiating process, will also harm Israel. Iran’s regaining of its privilege to trade internationally, without fear of sanctions, will only create more instability in the Mid-East and could even ignite an arms race among Muslim countries in the region that all share the destruction of Israel as a common goal.
Also, Muslims cannot necessarily be trusted to keep treaties, since—according to Islamic law—Muslims are supposed to lie to non-Muslims, in order to defeat them, just as Mohammed did when he signed a ten-year treaty with the Meccans. That treaty allowed him access to their city while he secretly prepared for its conquest. The trusting residents of Mecca were thus easily surprised and beaten, when Mohammed broke the treaty two years after signing it. Many who had trusted Mohammed’s every word were executed. Lying to infidels in treaties is called taqiyya.
Obama’s Anti-Israel Intelligence Leaks
In June, 2010, Obama disclosed the information that Israel might use Saudi airspace to fly a more direct route to Iran, in a possible military action to take out Iran’s nuclear program. The Saudi-Israeli cooperation was revealed to the London Times, citing “US defense sources.” This anti-Israel act guaranteed the continued safety of Iran’s nuclear development efforts.
In February of 2012, Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta leaked Israel’s plan for a possible attack on Iran later in the spring. This leak removed any element of surprise Israel had, and effectively canceled any potential Israeli strike, while allowing Iran additional time to prepare by further developing its nuclear weapons program.
On June 4, 2013, the US Defense Department leaked more than 1,000 pages of the minute details of an Israeli system whose success rests on being totally invisible to enemy eyes. It was a great blow to the defense of Israel, because the Arrow 3 is designed to seek out and blow up Iranian Shihab 3 and other long-range missiles.
Also, Foreign Policy Magazine has reported—citing an anonymous American source in the Department of Defense—that Israel had arranged to use an air base in Azerbaijan as a way to launch an air strike against Iran. The Christian Science Monitor asked, “Did the US just torpedo Israeli deal for a base in Azerbaijan?” and began to wonder whether the US was Israel’s “best friend” anymore—at least while Obama is in power.
Israel in the Balance
Although many have voiced criticism of Boehner’s plan to have Netanyahu speak, it would seem that there was nothing to be gained by clearing such a visit first with the White House. At a minimum, Obama would have sought delay. But the truth is that the continuation of Iran’s nuclear program is of such moment that an open airing of the issues connected to it cannot realistically be put off.
The main worry is that Iran, once it possesses nukes, will not only be in a position to launch a missile with a nuclear warhead; Iran will also have the ability to give such a weapon to a Hamas or Hezbollah team of suicide-bombers for the purpose of smuggling it into Israel and detonating it there, in order to fulfill their pledge to wipe Israel off the map. Netanyahu’s thoughtful words on this matter must be heard. Now is not the time to shrink before President Obama’s threat that there will be a price to pay for inviting the Israeli prime minister. The fate of Israel—indeed, the fate of the United States—could very well hang in the balance.
