This print of conservative artist A.F. Branco’s painting Freedom’s Battle visualizes the very real battle between freedom and tyranny.  Communism, as depicted by hands holding the Communist hammer and sickle, is pulling at the very fabric of America, while freedom, symbolized by the American Eagle, grasps the flag in an attempt to pull it from the grasp of communism.

It’s easy to take our freedom for granted, and forget about the battle that’s raging.  This artwork serves as a beautiful yet sobering reminder of what’s at stake, and how important the fight is.  In the words of President Ronald Reagan,

“Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.”
