Breaking News

What We’re Reading September 13, 2014

We hope you’re having a great day wherever you are and that the news we dig up for you this morning helps you navigate the day more efficiently!

It’s a busy world out there, and you don’t have a ton of free time to be doing Internet searches for the most important items of the day… lucky for you, we do. We drink gallons of coffee in an effort to stay awake long enough to scour the far reaches of the world wide web in an effort to bring you the most important, useful and useless information every single day.

You’re welcome.

So without further ado, here’s what we’re reading Saturday September 13, 2014.

Ugggh. As more and more illegal immigrants enter the country – fewer and fewer of them are being deported. 2014 has seen the fewest deportations since 2007.

President Obama’s assaults on the Constitution go way beyond anything that President Bush EVER attempted. (So says the NY Times!)

Arab leaders kind-of sort-of support our fight against ISIS.

Al-Qaeda’s branch in India just launched their first attack… and it ended in failure when they raided the “wrong ship” at a Karachi port.

In my beautiful home state of Georgia the political scene has just gotten very “swampy.” Democrats have been sniffing an opportunity in Georgia to win a Senate seat and a Governor’s mansion as Republicans here have chosen… tepid…candidates for these seats. But, as the Democrats see those dreams slipping away, they’ve turned to breaking the law in an effort to keep them alive. It seem that big-money Democrats have turned to voter fraud in an effort to win the Peach State.

Awwww… Obama voters are disappointed in the job the President has done.

A personal hero of mine has passed (and yes he was/is controversial) – Ian Paisley, founder of the Democratic Unionist Party in Northern Ireland, and one of the men who helped to end “the Troubles” there… has passed away. He was 88.

Ouch! Marlins star slugger Giancarlo Stanton took a fastball to the face on Thursday night. He was carried off the field by stretcher and then hospitalized with broken bones in his face.
