Breaking News

What We’re Reading September 8, 2014

We hope you’re having a great day wherever you are and that the news we dig up for you this morning helps you navigate the day more efficiently!

It’s a busy world out there, and you don’t have a ton of free time to be doing Internet searches for the most important items of the day… lucky for you, we do. We drink gallons of coffee in an effort to stay awake long enough to scour the far reaches of the world wide web in an effort to bring you the most important, useful and useless information every single day.

You’re welcome.

So without further ado, here’s what we’re reading Monday September 8, 2014.

The news on ISIS isn’t great – as they consolidate their hold in Iraq and Syria, they are also making significant progress in South Asia. We are starting to see evidence of their spread in India and Pakistan. And seriously, how bad are things getting when Iran is telling the world that the USA isn’t doing enough to fight radical Islam?!?!

Even Obama’s liberal defenders are running out of ways to defend him.

August, 2012: “We have been very clear to the Assad regime, but also to other players on the ground, that a red line for us is we start seeing a whole bunch of chemical weapons moving around or being utilized.” September, 2013: “I didn’t set a red line. The world set a red line.” August, 2014: “I don’t want to put the cart before the horse. We don’t have a strategy yet.”

“Can-Do” Republicans versus “Mustn’t-Do” Republicans and their hopes for the Presidency.

How does a “Think-Tank” do its job honestly and reputably if they are being funded by foreign powers with an interest in the outcome of their research?

Why do liberals who pretend to care about our kids and the future keep fighting parents when it comes to school choice?
